Thomas Paul Fleetwood was born on January 19, 1991 (age 31 years) in Southport, Merseyside, United Kingdom. He is the son of Pete Fleetwood and his brother is Joe Fleetwood. He hasn’t disclosed his mother’s name.
Fleetwood had a distinguished amateur career which included wins in the 2009 Scottish Amateur Stroke Play Championship and the 2010 English Amateur, and runner-up finishes in the 2008 Amateur Championship, the 2010 New South Wales Amateur and the 2010 Spanish Amateur and the 2010 European Amateur. In January 2017, Fleetwood won his second European Tour event, the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, by one stroke over Dustin Johnson and Pablo Larrazábal after a final round of 67.
