Noah Kahan was born on January 1, 1997 (age 26 years) in Strafford, Vermont. He is the son of American parents, his father is Jewish and his mother is Christian. He attended Hanover High School in Hanover, New Hampshire. Kahan began writing songs at age 8 and uploaded them to SoundCloud and YouTube where his music began to gain exposure. Noah Kahan began working with a school friend music producer (Cwenga Matanzima) at age 17. This attracted the attention of his current manager Drew Simmons of Foundations Artist Management. Kahan deferred his admission to Tulane University to pursue his developing music career. Kahan toured extensively with the album through 2022 and 2023; he performed three sold-out legs of his headlining Stick Season Tour, which included stops at venues like Radio City Music Hall in New York City and Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado. In July 2023, he released “Dial Drunk” with Post Malone.
