Nasser bin Ghanim Al-Khelaifi was born on November 12, 1973 (age 48 years) in Doha, Qatar. He is the second son born by his parents. His father Ghanem Al-Khelaifi was a pearl fisherman. Al-Khelaifi graduated with an Economics Degree from Qatar University. He also has a post-graduate degree in Maritime Studies from the University of Piraeus.

Tennis career

Paris Saint-Germain
Nasser Al-Khelaifi became the new president and chief executive officer of Paris Saint-Germain on 7 October 2011. Shortly after being named president, he presented a five-year plan to take Paris Saint-Germain to the top of the tree in France and abroad. As part of the long-term plan for the club, Al-Khelaifi brought in former footballer Leonardo as the new director of football.
Al-Khelaifi initially demanded a major trophy haul for the 2011–12 season, PSG was soon eliminated from the UEFA Europa League and both domestic cups, leaving the team only able to spend $130 million on players. Legal trouble and controversy
In October 2017, the Swiss courts opened an investigation against Nasser Al-Khelaifi for suspicion of private corruption in the allocation of television rights for the World Cups 2026 and 2030 for the Middle East and North Africa international media market. In March 2019, Al-Khelaifi was placed under the status of witness assisted by the French courts.
On 23 May 2019, Nasser Al-Khelaifi was indicted for active bribery in an investigation into the 2017 and 2019 Doha nominations for the World Championships in Athletics. “These facts do not concern him”, pleads his lawyer who contends that Nasser Al-Khelaifi is innocent.
In February 2020, Swiss prosecutors replaced the charge of bribery by indicting Al-Khelaifi for “inciting Jérôme Valcke to commit aggravated criminal mismanagement.” On 27 March 2020, the Swiss Federal Court rejected the prosecution’s latest indictment against Al-Khelaifi for “inciting Jérôme Valcke to commit criminal mismanagement”, stating that “these conditions of mismanagement are absent from the OAG’s Swiss prosecution’s accusation”.
On 14 September 2020, the Swiss Federal Court started to prosecute Al-Khelaifi, due to “aggravated criminal mismanagement”, based on charges related to a meeting on 24 October 2013, at the French headquarters of beIN Media Group, in which Al-Khelaifi allegedly promised to purchase a villa in Sardinia for €5m, to be utilized by Valcke, in exchange to granting the 2026 and 2030 World Cups screening rights to beIN Media Group. Al-Khelaifi was also acquitted of this indictment by the court in October 2020. Prosecutors plan to appeal the ruling.
On 9 March 2022, after Paris Saint-Germain‘s 1–3 away loss (2–3 aggregate score) to Real Madrid in the 2021–22 UEFA Champions League round of 16, Nasser Al-Khelaifi allegedly assaulted a linesman and broke his flag and threatened a Madrid employee with murder. UEFA has opened an investigation into the matter.
