Michael John Yadan Tumanguil Pestano Bustos was born on June 23, 1981 (age 41 years) in Weston, Toronto, Canada. He is the son of Filipino parents Cristina Bustos and Jerry Bustos in the Weston neighborhood of Toronto, Ontario. Before Canadian Idol, he worked as a temp at the Bank of Montreal. He attended St. Michael’s College School in Toronto.
