Life & Career
Daphne van Domselaar was born on March 6, 2000, and she is 23 years old. She is best known as a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Women’s Super League club Aston Villa and the Netherlands national team. She stands at an appealing height of 1.76m and has a good body weight which suits her personality.
Daphne van Domselaar started playing football at LSVV in Zuid-Scharwoude at the age of 11. In the team that she joined, the girls played without a regular keeper. However, after Van Domselaar took her turn as a goalkeeper, she did not leave that position but stayed in it.
The LSVV goalkeeping coach immediately recognized her great talent. Moreover, he noted that she had learned a lot at the volleyball club where she had come from. Van Domselaar then played for four years with the boys of LSVV and for two years with Telstar’s youth academy.
