Latest news- Alabama sheriff: detainee, jailer had “phone sex” in hundreds of calls

An American sheriff stated this week that an Alabama convict who officials think escaped with the assistance of a jail supervisor who subsequently committed suicide in Indiana exchanged nearly 1,000 phone calls with the lady before to the breakout.

Casey White and Vicky White, who were unrelated, may have planned his escape over the phone, according to Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton, but authorities must listen to each of 949 calls before reaching a conclusion.

Authorities claim the two were in a romantic relationship, and according to Singleton, some of the calls were of a sexual nature.

According to AL.com, Singleton stated, “We’re in the process of listening to those calls to see if there’s any information that could help us.” The only truth I am certain of is that they engaged in phone sex.

The calls occurred after Casey White was transported from the Lauderdale County Jail to a state jail, where he remained until his return to Lauderdale County prior to his escape, according to the sheriff.

In April, Casey White walked out of the county jail in handcuffs with Vicky White, the assistant correctional director, initiating a manhunt that lasted 11 days. Vicky White, 56, informed coworkers on the day of the escape that she was transporting the convict to a mental health evaluation.

Casey White was later apprehended in Evansville, Indiana, where the two were eventually discovered. Authorities claim that Vicky White shot herself in the head shortly before the arrest of the man.

As officers extracted them from the wreckage, Casey White reportedly yelled, “Please help my wife, she just shot herself in the head”

Casey White, who was serving time for capital murder and other charges at the time of her escape, was charged with escape and murder in her death. The defense has submitted papers indicating that Vicky White was in control of the escape, while Casey White’s mother claims he may not have understood what was going on.
