Hector Grisi Checa is a Spanish businessman who is the CEO of Santander Group since January 2023. He has a degree in Finance from Universidad Iberoamericana, where he graduated with honors.
Hector Grisi has a solid track record in the Mexican f inancial system where he started at Casa de Bolsa Inverlat in 1986, in 1992 he joined Banco Mexicano, Inverméxico and later Grupo Financiero Santander Mexicano where he worked in Investment Banking until 1997, he later joined Credit Suisse México as Investment Banking Director.
His career at Credit Suisse Mexico went up to the highest position of this Swiss financial services company in the country as President and CEO. From 2010 to 2015 he was member of the Board of the Global Credit Suisse Committee.
From 2011 to 2014 Hector Grisi was one of the four Vice Presidents of the Mexican Banking Association (ABM), the top body of credit institutions in Mexico.
As of December 2015, he accepted the invitation of Banco Santander to serve as the Executive President and General Manager of Santander Mexico, later in 2019 he was appointed Nort America Regional Head.
